Final Exam:Part III
First Point
- The possible tools that could have been used would be the brighten tool or color adjustment to make sure everything is well balnced. Also they could have digitally-placed the toys with the select tool or the free transform tool. I like it because it represents how the world labels people, but babies aren't born the way they are labeled.
- They could have used the burn tool or grayscale/ black and white. It shows that just liking a picture on social networks won't change or do anything to help the circumstances, so we actually have to do something.
- They either inserted the shark fin using the lasso tool and placing it into the ocean pictue with the select/ free transform tool. Or used the erase tool to digitally erase the shark fin. It shows that no matter how scary sharks may be, if we keep on killing them, then it's more terrifying than never seeing them again.
- The tools used could be the burn tool, the light tool, the select tool to brighten certain areas and probably one of the filters for more detail. This picture shows that not only the car will get damaged, but as well as the driver.
- They most likely used the lasso tool to select the blood from a different picture and free transformed the blood onto this picture. It shows what could happen on the other side of the phone when you're not there.
Second Point
Brandon Stanton, a New York photographer, puts the people of New York in the spotlight for one picture. Through the campaign, Humans of New York, Stanton shows that everyone is versatile and has their own unknown story, he's just the guy who helps it be made known. JR is a french artist who first began his campaign to give back to the people. In a way, he gives regular citizens a chance to also tell their story, to show their background, by giving them the ability to put their faces in public areas where they live. Daniel Guido turns his hand into a canvas with just a stroke of a paintbrush. His work displays scenes that tell stories and maks it look very life-like. Chris Jordan uses photography to raise awareness for things such as pollution, endangerment and more. To do so, he takes the thing being affected and takes the statistic of it and multiplies that thing however many times and creates a scene. Finally, Andy Goldsworthy, his artwork is mainly based on things of nature. He uses his design abilities to create abstract patterns and ideas to make a beautiful sculpture out of nature and photographs it.
Third Point
In this class, I learned how to use Photoshop. Not only that, but it helped me work on my art skills. Also, it helped me to take better pictures, being careful of lighting, angles and how i should place things. My favorite studio project would have to be the fashion photography. Although I'm not good in the "fashion world", I enjoyed creating pieces that people could wear. Even though it was very meticulous, the end project was very good. My favorite digital assignment would have to be the selfie-surreal. This photo combined everything i have learned in this class into one photo. it consisted of using light, placing, sizing and more. With this, i was ablt to tell a story showcasing me.
